Disobedience to God’s word through Adam and Eve opens the door to sin and death (Gen 3:6, Rom 5:12). But thanks be to God who sent His only begotten Son to redeem us from sin and death (Rom 5:19, 1 Cor 15:57).
The purpose of this blog is to analyse how man fell to sin. The avenue through which Eve fell to sin is: through the enemy (Satan), the world (environment) and the flesh in conjunction with the soul (Gen 3:1, Gen 3:6).
The analysis is easy as described by the scripture, and this will guide you from falling into sin, as this is the only channel through which we can still sin today despite the grace we found in Christ (Gen 3:6, Eph 2:8).
Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said to the woman (Gen 3:1).
This identifies Satan as the originator. So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food (Gen 3:6). This identifies the location of the fruit, which is in the environment where Eve was this can be classified as what is around us in the world today.
Lastly, the woman saw that the fruit was pleasant to the eyes (Gen 3:6). This identifies the channel of the flesh and soul. Eve used her eyes to see the fruit, a member of her body, and used her soul (imagination, thoughts, mind and will) to process and make the decision to eat, which comes from the will (Gen 3:6).
